VILLA BARDINI
A Garden with a View
The Villa Bardini is on the same hill of the Boboli garden in the Oltrarno neighborhood. But only this garden has an amazing view overlooking the skyline of Florence. You will be able to enjoy the scenery together with the scent of the flowers in the garden.
The best time to visit the place is April when the wisteria pergola is in its full, glorious bloom. But other botanical collections of roses, hydrangeas and azaleas make the tour worth all through spring and summer.
The city of Florence is linked with the flower iris through it own symbol, the famous “giglio fiorentino” or Florentine lily. So while walking in the shadowed paths of the Bardini Garden you will also learn the local legends and traditions that make the city famous in the world.
At the end you will be able to enjoy this peaceful corner of Florence from the Belvedere Cafe which offers his coffee with the best panorama included.
Price: 100,00 € – Duration: 01h30
This was an outstanding tour that gave a great insight not only to the gardens but also the historical context – would highly recommend. You don’t need to be a gardener!
Wonderful journey with Valentina as she provided history of the garden and also interesting stories about the Medici family. It is rare to be able to see the garden from a different point of view, at the end there was a special treat to see one of the ghrottos as well. Thank you.
